I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Visual Computing & Human-Centered Technology (E193) at the Faculty of Informatics at the TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), the Dean of Academic Affairs for Computer Science, the head of the Multidisciplinary Design & User Research Unit (MDUR), member of the steering committee of the European Society for Socially Embedded Computing (EUSSET), and the director of the Center for Informatics and Society (C!S).

My research areas include Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Design Thinking, User-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), coordination (of work), Change Management, Knowledge Management, Crisis Management, societal, educational, and gender aspects of computer science and computing.
