I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Visual Computing & Human-Centered Technology (E193) at the Faculty of Informatics at the TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), the Dean of Academic Affairs for Computer Science, the head of the Artifact-Based Computing & User Research Unit (ACUR) (previously Multidisciplinary Design & User User, MDUR), the chair elect of the steering committee of the European Society for Socially Embedded Computing (EUSSET), the director of the Center for Informatics and Society (C!S), and the scientific director of the Center for Technology & Society (CTS).

My research areas include Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Design Thinking, User-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), coordination (of work), Change Management, Knowledge Management, Crisis Management, societal, educational, and gender aspects of computer science and computing.
